This beautiful natural pool is set in the middle of a rectangular lawn, framed by a stunning backdrop of mature trees along the garden’s edges. Our client had a clear vision—an elegant, minimalist design with a symmetrical, formal layout. The site provided a blank canvas for us to bring their vision to life.

The swim zone spans approximately 15 by 4 meters, bordered on three sides by a regeneration zone filled with aquatic plants. To introduce a modern touch, we offset the recreational decking area, adding a subtle contemporary feel to the otherwise symmetrical design. For a sleek, streamlined look, we opted not to use coping on the internal walls, allowing them to seamlessly blend into the pool’s depths.

Around the pool’s edge, we planted native marginal plants, which complement the water lilies and deep oxygenating aquatic plants, creating a harmonious and natural look. Our clients also wanted to create an outdoor living destination, so we integrated their existing outdoor kitchen and pergola into the design. To maintain consistency, we used matching white oak millboard decking, tying the pool area to the rest of the garden.

We adjusted the garden levels slightly, raising the pool and using the excavated soil to backfill the gradient, which improved the overall layout of the space. The pool sits gracefully as the focal point of the lush, flawless lawn, with a recently sown wildflower meadow adding a natural, soft touch to the landscape.

It’s a simple yet stunning feature that perfectly complements the garden’s serene, formal atmosphere.
